Microsoft are finally winding up the Beta Testing program for Office 2007. After the current Beta 2 Technical Refresh, there will be no more builds available to technical beta testers.
25th October: Office Preview website shuts down (info goes to main office site)
28th October: Office 2007 Technical Support goes proper
30th October: BetaPlace website and support newsgroups shut down
31st October: Sharepoint team sites decommissioned
The B2TR server versions can be upgraded to the final version (when it is released), but the client applications cannot, and so much be uninstalled.
We are thrilled with the incredible excitement around the upcoming 2007 Microsoft Office system as is evident by over 3 million people installing the Beta 2 and later Beta2TR builds. With your help, we have far exceeded our technical participation goals.
At this time, we are pleased to announce that the 2007 Office system will be released to manufacturing (RTM) in the next few weeks.
